“Dosha” is a term used in Vedic Astrology to describe adverse situations produced by the incorrect placement or combination of planets in the birth chart. This ailment, or Dosha, which has the ability to negate all of the good connections in the birth chart, is derived from the Sanskrit word “dush,” which means “bad.” In ancient astrological writings, Vedic seers and sages put down a set of guidelines for identifying planetary pairings that might generate Doshas (Afflictions). The degree of these planetary ailments is defined by the location and affiliation of the planets, and these placements and associations are decided by your past Karmic acts. Vedic writings also recommend that restorative rites be undertaken to mitigate the adverse effects of the Doshas.
