Kurma: In this incarnation, the Lord took the form of a tortoise whose shell served as a pivot for the Mandarācala Hill, which was being used as a churning rod by the theists and atheists of the universe.

Varaha: The supreme enjoyer of all sacrifices accepted the incarnation of a boar, and for the welfare of the earth He lifted the earth from the nether regions of the universe killing the wicked demon, Hiranyaksha.
Narasimha: The Supreme Lord appeared as the half-man, half-lion incarnation Nṛsiṁha and bifurcated the strong body of the atheist demon Hiraṇyakaśipu with His nails to protect His one devotee, Sri Prahlada.

Parashurama: The Supreme Lord as Bhṛgupati annihilated the administrative class [kṣatriyas] twenty-one times, being angry with them because of their rebellion against the brāhmaṇas [the intelligent class].

Ramachandra: In this incarnation, the Supreme Lord appeared in human-like form, crossed the mighty Indian Ocean, killed the wicked demon Ravana and heroically rescued His consort, Sitadevi. He was assisted by the vanara army of which the foremost general was Hanuman.

Balarama: In this incarnation, the Supreme Lord appeared as elder brother to Himself. Sri Balarama is the Adi-guru and the Supreme Personality of Servitor Godhead. 

Krishna: The Supreme Lord appeared in His self-same form and performed the most enchanting pastimes on the planet. He gave pleasure to all Vrajavasis headed by His parents Nanda and Yashoda. His pastimes in Vraja are the most confidential interactions with His devotees.

Kalki: At the conjunction of two yugas (Kali and Krita), the Lord of the creation will take His birth as the Kalki incarnation and become the son of Viṣṇu Yaśā. At this time almost all the rulers of the earth will have degenerated into plunderers. He will appear atop a horse with a sword in hand and practically annihilate the entire population on earth to re-establish dharma.
